Washington United Terminals is looking for a staff accountant who has a BA/BS in Accounting or Financing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Back up Assistant Manager Position as needed : Payroll, 401K etc
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile AP, AR & Monthly bank statement if needed.Review & Input M&R A/P invoices matched with Purchase Order etcReview customer billings, ensuring that customers are billed timely. 
• Ensure that all billings are in full accordance with the latest contracts and rate sheets.Assist with collection efforts on all customer receivables outstanding.
• Assist with annual budget after receiving volumes & departmental budgets for year. 
• Review assumptions with management before finalizing numbers for annual budget
• Prepare audit for work papers related to the assigned job
• Assist outside audit firm in annual audit of company financials.
• Perform other related duties, including special reports and projects, as assigned by HR/Accounting director.
• Report & Manage Fixed Assets in SAP for Depreciation / Acquisition / Disposal / Sales in accordance with GAAP & Tax
• Lease Management related to Fixed Assets for Monthly Repayment / Financing / Renewal / Buyout  

Qualification/Requirements

• Strong responsibility for assigned jobExceptional analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work and interact with lessor of lease
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with the use of computer software for Excel, Word, Outlook
• Preferred the experience in SAP & Newport System & OPUS 

Education/Training/ Experience

• BA/BS Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Preferred 2 more years experienced in all aspects of accounting
• Preferred be well versed in accounting related Fixed Assets & Lease
